Christmas in the valley.....

Red thrown around the ranch house
Baubles and gold hanging in cheerful display

The music
And the smiles
And the happiness of finally being together
Fall into the joy of no one being in a war-zone

I smuggle and sneak
Packages and parcels and boxes go wizzing through doorways
“DON’T COME IN THIS ROOM” yelled out in worry

Too crazy to make the journey down the mountain
We will stay safe
With the mountain juniper
The smoke from the fire
And the sound of the coyotes at night

Away from the craziness of people in town
Who don’t realize that without gift’s
As a family
we would still be joyful
Happy
And fulfilled

Celebrating something beautiful
And singing our praises

He is born
He is born

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

xoxo
