Inspiration....

A little while ago I posted a few pictures (most of them black and white) 

of things that inspire me.

I had received a question about what I do when I hit a "road block" in my writing, and this was a part of my answer! 

I always look to images to inspire. For me, being able to see things that I love, and that I'm most likely writing about-like horses and cattle, buckin ponies and the desert-pushes me to find the words in a different way than you would expect. 

Sometimes, even when I'm in the studio recording I'll bring in a few snaps of ranches or the desert that I love to look at while I sing...for some reason it's just enough of a jolt for me to feel inspired and to sing-or write differently than I would have without that image.
