Girls with Guns...

Hello everyone!

I get so many questions a week about shooting I thought I’d do a lil blog post for all my lady readers out there!

The most common question has to do with WHAT kind of handgun should a gal get?

Quite honestly, I’ve got no business telling you what kind of pee-shooter y’all should get. I was raised shooting and have carried my whole life, so I’m just used to what I like and don’t like-especially as a girl, I think we can be a little bit more picky. Which is not a bad thing!

For me, I really like to be able to have one handgun for safety when I’m traveling that I don’t have to worry is going to misfire or jam. If I get into a situation where I need to defend myself, I don’t want to worry about a safety getting locked ON and accidentally releasing my clip at a critical moment. Because of this, I have a little .38 special Snub Nose revolver. There’s no pulling the hammer back, no having to worry about taking my safety off, just point and squeeze.

This lil gun of mine is also SUPER light (which I love) and is easy and out of the way to carry when I’m horseback.

The Smith & Wesson is a good option, and you can always check out websites as well as Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops and your local gun stores. I’m a sucker for Gun Show’s, mostly because haggling is fun to me, and you never know what you will be able to trade for or find buried under the long rows of tables.

This is just an idea of what I really like, since so many gals have asked…and if y’all want anymore ideas-maybe I’ll make this sort of post a monthly or weekly deal. Behind buckin horses, roping and music…guns are one of my favorite things!

(Disclaimer for the folks who will write concerned about safety and gun control: Use common sense and good judgment in a controlled and contained area with someone who is experienced if you are unfamiliar with firearms. If you want to talk gun control just please don’t, I don’t have time to argue, and gun control to me is using both hands. Thanks!)

Love to you all! Feel free to ask questions or send in pictures and info about your favorite handguns ladies! (Or Gents!)

xoxo

~Adrian
